Fishing is Good at Lake Owen. Will need a 4WD vehicle to get through snow banks near Dry Park. Ice: 8-12″ by the dam and boat ramp, 0-4″ near the inlet. Best Lures/Bait: Rainbow Trout spinners and Pink Jigs with Nightcrawlers or Meal Worms
Alsop is completely capped and ready to fish for those brave enough. Ice is 3-4″ and solid. Best Baits and Lures: Silver Swedish Pimples, Pink Jigs tipped with Shrimp
Gelatt is mostly capped with the only open water being the section near the aerator. Ice is about 2-4″, however there are many air bubbles in the ice.
Twin Buttes is about 50% open still. Ice on the east side of the boat ramp, only about 1-2″ and soft.
Lake Hattie is still wide open with ice around the edges near the boat ramp.
Meeboer has 1″-5″ of ice with the best being 3″-5″ west of the boat ramp area. Open water around the aerator and a little on the Northwest by the parking lot. Fishing was a little slow this morning but will get a better idea as the opportunity is improving with conditions.
Twin is capped and had 2″-5″ on the areas we checked. 5″ solid on the east end by the first outhouse. Boat ramp had about 4″ of ice. Several groups of fishermen out. Fishing was fair.
1″-5.5″ of ice. The lake had about 5″ of ice off the boat ramp to at least 20 yards out. Past that ice looked newer and didn’t venture out. Open water in the middle from the aerator to the east for about 70 yards and a small open area on the south shore halfway from the boat ramp to the other parking area. No fisherman out around noon.
