Wheatland Reservoir #3 has open water for the majority of the lake. The exception is at the boat ramp where there are ice chunks making launching boats difficult.

Had a Fly Store team member head out to #3 this morning. 95% frozen, very soft edges and ice didn’t look to thick. Will be ready soon (maybe snow and cold this weekend).
Road 5 miles east of the reservoir is terrible. Ice is about 24 inches thick with about 4-6 inches of snow on top. Fishing is slow-poor.

Lake was still capped with 18″-36″ of ice. Fishing has been Slow to Fair. the trout that have been caught have been good size 4-6 lbs 24″+ this last week. Not much for walleye this week. yellows and white jigs, Kastmasters and jigging raps.

Fishing was slow to fair. Best on the backside of the lake. there is plenty of ice 16″-24″+. best luck with glow and pink colors or “sucker” meat.

Fishing has been Fair, slow day with several then caught in a short period of time. Ice is 8″-10″ Yellow and green jigs

Wheatland #3 was slow to fair Ice 6″-8″ had people use just about everything all caught a couple but long periods in between As always conditions can change quick so use best judgment and be safe.

Ice was 4″ to 6″+ Fishing was slow to fair. Using tip ups/jaw jackets, jigs with mealworm tips

Fishing was Fair to Good Ice was around 3 1/2″ thick pink and white jigs tipped with mealworms
