Encampment River 4-24-2022

The fishing is fair and the rainbows are spawning. The river is still pre-runoff and at wadable levels with mild current. Be carful while wading and mind the reds where the fish are actively spawning.   Flow Rate: 290 cfs Current Flow Rates Water Clarity: 2 1/2 feet Best Flies: Rainbow Warriors, Purple Worms,  Egg patterns.

The fishing is Fair to Good, the water is high and can be hard to get flies down to the fish. Have to run an 8-9 ft leader and 2-3 AB weights to get flies down and slowed down for fish.   Flow rate: 2590-2600 cfs Current Flow Rate Water clarity: Clear Best flies: Midge and Baetis Patterns (BWO, PMD, Black, Purple), Stone flies, San Juan and Rock Worms, White Sucker Eggs, Hare's Ear, Prince, Pheasant Tail Best lures: Gold, Copper and Silver Colors

Lake Hattie 12/18/19

Fishing has been Fair Ice is between 3"-9" with the thicker being where wind has pushed sheets on top of each other. some nice perch coming out this week. Pink and green jigs seem to be the trick tipping with wax worms. Hattie Derby is Jan 4th & 5th and tickets are available at the store now. $35 for adult, $5 for youth(under 14)
