The fishing is Fair to Good.  Water has come down quite a bit.  Green drakes should be hatching any day now. Flow Rate: 400 in Encampment, 750 at junction with North Platte Current Flow Rates Water Clarity: Poor but improving Best Flies: Thin Mints, Rusty Trombone, Green Drakes Best Lures: Rainbow Trout or Copper Spoons

The fishing is fair and the rainbows are spawning. The river is still pre-runoff and at wadable levels with mild current. Be carful while wading and mind the reds where the fish are actively spawning.   Flow Rate: 290 cfs Current Flow Rates Water Clarity: 2 1/2 feet Best Flies: Rainbow Warriors, Purple Worms,  Egg patterns.
