Upper North Platte

Description

The Upper North Platte is the portion of the North Platte River that runs from Routt, Colorado to Seminoe Reservoir.  There are many sections within the part of the river; the most popular of which being Pickaroon and Six Mile Gap.  All the sections offer great wade and float fishing.  The Pickaroon access is where Douglas Creek converges with the North Platte and can offer a unique fishing experience compared to the other sections around, as brook trout from the creek can move into the river.
